As part of our Water Sector Program grant requirements, the Board of Commissioners of Water & Sewer Commission #4 was required to conduct a rate study to determine the Commission’s sustainability. This had to be completed before any funds could be released to the Commission. The rate study was conducted by Louisiana Rural Water Association. Therefore, the Commission voted at a special meeting on August 11, 2023 to increase the rates for water as recommended by LRWA. The new rates will go into effect October 1, 2023, as follows: 

RESIDENTIAL RATES for Water & Sewer Commission #4 customers:

$17.00 Base Rate (First 2,000 gallons)

$4.80 per 1,000 gallons thereafter

COMMERCIAL RATE:

$60.00 Base Rate (First 5,000 gallons)

$5.45 per 1,000 gallons thereafter

TOWN OF BALDWIN CUSTOMERS:

$19.00 Base Rate (First 2,000 gallons)

$5.80 per 1,000 gallons thereafter
