Our meters are read every month. Most of our customers have radio read meters which means our operator simply has to drive by the residence and the reading is transmitted via radio frequency to a computer in the operator's vehicle. Once the readings have been submitted to the office and we find any readings to be abnormal, we send the operator back out to the residence to physically read the meter.
If a customer disputes the consumption and/or charges on the bill, he/she should contact our office immediately to discuss the matter. We have the capability to pull a 90 day detail from the radio read meters. We cannot tell exactly what happened, but the detail gives us your consumption for each day so we can tell when something happened, and can indicate whether leak is constant or intermittent.
